How do I arrange my flights?

As this opportunity is open to students across the UK, we have left the flight logistics to be organised by each student. If you would like us to check the details of your flights before booking, we will be happy to help.

How do I arrange my transfers?

As everyone will be arriving at different times, you will need to arrange your transfers directly with the hotel. You will receive the contact information for this once you have placed your deposit. The airport is only 15 minutes from the resort and transfers are THB 600 for (around £15) for a car transfer. There is a surcharge of THB 200 if you required this service between 23:00-05:00.

Can I stay longer?

You are welcome to extend your trip if you wish, or even continue an onward journey to somewhere else. Managing your own flights gives you the freedom to decide what you'd like to do before or after the retreat. If you would like to stay longer at the resort, we will be able to put you in contact with a booking manager to arrange this.

How can I get out and about to explore?

The resort offers a daily shuttle service to Layan Beach, Naithorn Beach and Boat Avenue. For additional trips, such as to other beaches, Phuket Old Town, Thaland Town and Chalong Bay, the hotel has a price list and you can book a driver from them.

Where do I need to fly?

You will need to arrange flights to Phuket International Airport (HKT).

What medical things do I need to prepare to travel to Thailand?

Check GOV.UK for the latest advice before you travel for up to date informaiton. Visit your health professional at least 4 to 6 weeks before your trip to check whether you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures. Rabies has been reported in domestic and wild animals, and there have been several fatalities this year. You should avoid direct contact with animals and take precautions to protect yourself. It is strongly advised you take out a comprehensive travel insurance to assist with any medical assistance you may need. There are excellent private hospitals in Thailand but they can be expensive. Public hospitals and clinics in Thailand are not always up to UK standards, particularly outside Bangkok and in the coastal islands. Many hospitals require guarantee of payment before they will start treatment. Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and accessible funds to cover the cost of any medical treatment abroad and repatriation. UK health authorities have classified Thailand as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For information and advice about the risks associated with Zika virus, visit the National Travel Health Network and Centre website. Dengue fever is present in Thailand. You should take mosquito bite avoidance measures.

Do I need a Visa?

British passport holders arriving by air or land can enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa - this is known as a visa exemption. If you need to stay longer, it’s possible to extend your stay once, from the expiry date of the original visa, for up to 30 days. Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Thailand. Entry to Thailand is normally refused if you have a passport which is damaged or has pages missing. If you’re a dual national you must make sure that when you depart Thailand you have a valid passport of the nationality used to enter, otherwise you may have difficulty in leaving. Check GOV.UK for the latest advice before you travel.

What's your cancellation policy?

This is an exclusive opportunity, so it’s important to us that when you book, you’re serious about taking up your place. Therefore, we have a very strict and transparent cancellation policy. Cancellation fees are as follows: 8 weeks or less before the retreat: a 100% charge 12 weeks or less: a 75% charge While we keep a waiting list, we will not refund your fee if you are unable to attend: even if we fill the place.

What are the terms of booking?

Once you register your interest in attending the retreat, you will be sent an invoice to cover the initial deposit. We will then discuss with you a payment plan for the remainder which will depend on how much time we have and what is comfortable for you to commit to. Once you have paid your deposit, it is essential that you look out for an email so that you can sign up to your additional instalments within 5 working days.

What if there are exceptional circumstances?

We cannot be held liable for situations beyond our control, including (but not limited to) acts of war, acts of God, threats or acts of terrorism, civil unrest or unforeseen personal circumstances. We also can’t offer refunds for illness, flight delays or any other circumstances. It is strongly advised that you seek adequate insurance in place to cover for this.

What happens if T2 cancels?

While it is extremly unlikely to happen, if we need to cancel the retreat, we will refund the money you have paid so far. We cannot be held responsible for other costs – such as flights or any other incidentals - so we strongly recommend you have insurance in place to cover this.

How many people will be attending?

We are offering this opportunity for just 10 people. We believe the best student experience is in smaller groups so this is why we keep the group intimate.

What will a typical day be like?

We will suggest rendevouzs for breakfast and lunch for those who would like to meet as a group. This is designed to build on the comaraderie of the group, creating memories and making connections with other like-minded people, but if some days you want to do your own thing, that's completely cool too! We will provide an programme in advance of the trip so you will know what is to come each day but you can expect three sessions per day to improve your strength, cardio and core.

Will I be able to meet others before the retreat?

A couple of months ahead of the retreat, we'll be happy to set up a facebook group or whatsapp group with all those attending to start getting to know each other. This may be useful to jointly arrange travel if you would like to travel with someone, or just so you have some friendly faces when you arrive at the resort.

Can I bring a guest with me?

We can't say no, but if you and a friend wish to take the course together you are welcome to both attend. It's also important to maintain the integrity of the group and we have an action packed programme, so this retreat should be about you getting the time and space to hone in on your fitness. If travelling in this part of the world with a loved one is important to you, we recommend arranging to meet them as part of your onward journey.

What room will I have?

You will have a Superior Garden Room with King Size Bed.

What board basis will it be?

You will be full board which includes three meals a day with drinking water. For any extras - such as barista coffee, soft drinks, alcohol and snacks - you will need to pay separately.
